Empowering Nonprofits and Future Leaders

Empowering Nonprofits and Future Leaders: Hispanic Austin Leadership Graduation 2025 Keynote

On May 22, I had the distinct honor of serving as the keynote speaker for the 2025 graduating cohort of Hispanic Austin Leadership (HAL)—a full-circle moment as a proud HAL alumna myself.

Speaking to these emerging leaders reminded me of a fundamental truth: no one is self-made. Every success, every opportunity, and every milestone we achieve is built on the foundation laid by those who came before us, and the communities that shaped us. It’s a responsibility—and a privilege—to give back.

In my remarks, I emphasized the power of collective strength and the importance of using our education, skills, and experiences to serve others. That belief is at the heart of my work today. Through Amy Cobb Consulting, I partner with nonprofit organizations to bring legitimacy, transparency, and accountability to their financial operations. Leveraging my Accounting background, Finance degree, and deep experience with QuickBooks, I help nonprofits build the financial infrastructure they need to gain the trust of donors and grantmakers alike.

When nonprofits are equipped with sound financial practices, they’re empowered to amplify their mission and deepen their impact. Amy Cobb Consulting doesn’t just support the community—we help build the foundation that allows others to do the same. This kind of work ensures long-term sustainability and drives lasting, meaningful change.

Congratulations to the 2025 HAL graduates. You are our community’s next generation of changemakers. I can’t wait to see the incredible work you’ll do—and remember: we are always stronger together.
